SmartGreen Energy Project is a climate-resilient initiative dedicated to transforming lives and protecting the environment in Dzaleka Refugee Camp and surrounding host communities. Through the production and distribution of smart stoves, eco-briquettes, and renewable energy solutions, the project reduces deforestation, improves health, and promotes sustainable livelihoods for refugee and host families.

Project Objectives

Reduce Deforestation: Provide clean energy alternatives that lessen dependence on firewood and charcoal.
Promote Green Innovation: Turn waste materials into eco-briquettes and sustainable fuels.
Empower Communities: Train youth and women in clean energy production and entrepreneurship.
Improve Health & Safety: Reduce indoor air pollution and the risks associated with firewood collection.

What the Project Does

Produces and distributes energy-efficient cookstoves and eco-briquettes.

The ReGreen Project is a sustainable tree and fruit planting initiative dedicated to restoring ecosystems, enhancing food security, and empowering communities through agroforestry. By planting a diverse range of fruit-bearing and indigenous trees, ReGreen promotes environmental conservation while providing long-term nutritional and economic benefits to local communities.

Phala+

Sharing insights into the prevalence of food insecurity and malnutrition among orphans in Malawi.

The Phala+ Project is a child nutrition initiative dedicated to improving the health and well-being of orphaned infants and young children (ages 0–6) by providing essential, nutrient-rich foods. "Phala" means porridge in Chichewa, representing warmth, sustenance, and hope. This project seeks to combat malnutrition, support early childhood development, and enhance overall health outcomes for vulnerable children.

Through Phala+, we are committed to ensuring that every child receives the nourishment they need for a strong start in life. Together, we can fight malnutrition and build a healthier future, one bowl of Phala at a time.

What We Provide

For Infants (0–1 year old): We supply milk to ensure they receive the necessary nutrients for healthy growth and development.
For Young Children (1–6 years old): We provide protein-rich Soya flour for porridge, ensuring they get balanced nutrition during their crucial early years.
Additional Nutritional Support: We also distribute other essential nutritious foods to meet the dietary needs of both infants and young children, further enhancing their health and development.

RiseUp

RiseUp Project is a transformative initiative dedicated to uplifting women and girls through education, skills training, and empowerment programs. By promoting economic independence, leadership, and access to reproductive health education, RiseUp helps women and girls build confidence, create opportunities, and lead change in their communities.

This initiative aims to break cycles of poverty and inequality by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to achieve independence and lead change within their communities.

Project Objectives

Enhance access to education and skills training for women and girls, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Promote economic empowerment through entrepreneurship, vocational training, and financial literacy programs.
Support reproductive health education and awareness to foster healthy, informed decisions.
Encourage leadership and participation in community development, advocacy, and decision-making spaces.

What We Provide

Educational support for girls in primary, secondary, and vocational schools.
Vocational skills training programs in areas such as tailoring, agribusiness, digital literacy, soapmaking and entrepreneurship.
Workshops and mentorship sessions focused on self-confidence, gender equality, and leadership development.
Health and wellness initiatives that address menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and gender-based violence awareness.
